   that I think the future of the two party system is going to be defined by the Independent voter.

It too often seems that both mainstream politicans have a vested interest in their party as opposed to the interests of their constituants, or even the Nation in general. It makes sense, that's the way the system is set up, the respective Party supports their candidates with cash and staff and experience.
