I am a Liberal. In fact, I’m probably considered somewhat of a progressive. I have worked all my life, raised my children, paid my bills. I understand fiscal responsibility.

I have friends who are Conservatives who have grandparents who collect social security and use medicare and are grateful for those programs.

We are more alike than we are not and yet the abyss between us is wider than at any point in our history.

So much so that many of us just wash our hands of the whole mess.

I am 54 years old. I was 14 when I entered the workforce and I’ve never really not worked or been in school.

My wife and I have worked all our lives and we are now basically living paycheck to paycheck.

35 percent of what I earn goes someplace else besides my pocket.

I pay 700.00 a month for a health insurance program that covers squat!

My dental insurance sucks.

Chances are your circumstances are not all that different.

This is not our President’s fault, nor is it the fault of the Tea Party, the Democrats, Republicans or Progressives.
